In the last few years, Korean skin care has made its way onto our shelves and has become hugely popular! There’s a reason for that. It may have something to do with the fact that most Korean women appear to have such beautiful, flawless skin, bearing in mind many Korean women’s skin care regime consists of 10 products on average – ouch! Although I don’t know if I 100% believe that 🤔 and as much as I love skincare, I don’t love it that much… I simply don’t have the time or money to spare!
Lancome is one of my favourite skincare brands of all time. I am HEAD OVER HEELS for the Visionnaire Nuit beauty sleep perfector and have been for a while. I’m always intrigued by new and interesting products, so after sampling the Lancome Energie De Vie day cream which I absolutely loved! a line which is inspired by Korean skincare, I thought I’d give you my honest view on the Energie de vie pearly wake up lotion. I didn’t actually know the purpose of this product at first, it is actually a toner to be used after you’ve cleansed, to help restore PH levels and encourage your skin to better absorb moisturizers and serums.
Lancome states that some of the benefits you can expect from using this product will be a more hydrated, plump and radiant skin. This toner helps to lock in moisture so this product is good for those with dry skin.
This product is to be used with a cotton pad. I never apply too much as the product does not get absorbed easily, Instead, it sits on the surface of the cotton pad almost like an oily texture. It has a pleasant scent and feels lovely and fresh on my skin. A little goes a long way so this should last me a while. Once my face is dry my skin does feel softer.
I’ve been using this product for a while, I feel like I’ve given it enough of a chance to see some kind of result, but it’s not really wowed me like the rest of Energie De Vie collection.
It is pleasant to apply first thing in the morning and the scent is fresh, clean and floral, though, for £28, I would like to feel or see more of a change with my skin, but It doesn’t seem to have much of an effect, apart from making me feel more awake and smelling good. Is there something I’m missing? I feel this is a product I wouldn’t purchase again as it’s a step my skin can happily go without.
Have you used this product, What are your thoughts?
