Is this the Best makeup remover ever?

For years I have been using makeup wipes to take off my makeup, I cleanse my face then wipe off the remaining with a wipe. This has been an effective routine of mine for years, but I didn’t like the feeling of tugging on my eye area when removing my eye makeup.

Ladies and gents, I have found the ultimate makeup remover. It’s cheap, the size is generous and I can pick it up at my local pharmacy. It’s none other than the Garnier Micellar range. It’s realizations like this that make you wonder when you become a brand snob. I would never have used this range before, In fact, I used to use something significantly more expensive that didn’t work half as good as this. That was until I went to Greece and forgot to pack my cleanser – Doh! I picked up a bottle at the airport and I’ve not looked back since.

Micellar water is made up of micelles, balls of cleaning oil molecules, suspended in soft water, “The idea is that micelles are attracted to dirt and oil, so they are able to draw out impurities without drying out the skin,”. Therefore, micellar water can be used as a facial wash, makeup remover and moisturizer all in one”. – Hadley King

I use the green one because it works for my combination skin type, However, there is a pink one for sensitive skin and a new gold oil infused one for a dry/sensitive skin. All formulas are none greasy and they don’t leave any residue. I use my micellar cleansing gel in the evening and the cleansing water at night with a cotton pad. I love that it removes my foundation, eye makeup AND mascara effortlessly. I don’t wear waterproof mascara so I’m not sure if it removes that also. They are both so gentle on my skin, the only negative I’ve experienced with the gel wash is that my skin feels slightly drier after use, but that’s only if I’ve not used moisturiser for a few days.  I love how my skin feels after use of these products, clean, fresh and soft.
